Presentation of Cheque following Thistle Show 2009

On Monday, 25th January 2010 the Mayor and Mayoress of Wigan were invited to the usual Monday night dance session at St. James for the presentation of a cheque for £300 raised by the Thistle Show in November 2009. The money was raised to support the Mayor's charity appeal to improve local services for Alzheimer and Meningitis sufferers.

We were also pleased to be joined by Pierre, the Angers Ambassador in Wigan and Francois & Antoine, two French students staying with Thistle members Frances & Bill Cox.
